They are having a (no wheels) race. I’m sure Blurr would be able to move a little faster if he took all those guns out of his pockets, but we’ll consider that a handicap - since he cheats more than DS does.
I feel compelled to buy a different lens just to better capture his…um, sassy poses. XD
My love for Drag Strip kinda kicked up out of nowhere - although the Stunticons are my favorite combo team, plus this is one of my favorite TF molds to date…which I didn’t realize til it came in his wonderfully gaudy paintjob. (I quite need to find a Mirage at some point now….)
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen : Lockdown
I think he’s so weirdly beautiful, even moreso than his original appearance in Animated. Definitely one of my favorites. (Lockdown isn’t actually in the lame movie, but he was in that tyran toy line…and this was then the base for his primax design as well, as seen in the Drift miniseries…and this got me to bother to read the Drift story…clever ploy there, Hasbro.)
Perceptor looks through…himself.
…He’s a little short to do so.
I have been repeatedly assured by acquaintances (who, until this point in time, harbored no particular inclinations towards microscopes) that this tableau constitutes as “hot” for reasons not expressly apparent. Thus, so as to avoid confusion, I would like to take the opportunity to record that this was most certainly not my intention.
This is a test with interesting lighting. I have a red gel on my top bounce flash, a UV light on the left side and just a desk lamp as a spot on his other side. Also, a string of mini lights are bundled around his feet for extra little sparkles from below.
Transformers Alternity : Thundercracker
…Or “Thundercrack-car” in this case. ^_^; He still has wings, though, so I don’t mind.
I got him at C2E2…which was an amazing find, since I was only vaguely shopping in the dealers’ room for about 15 minutes, and he was hidden behind a ton of other non-TF-related boxes. My TC radar was obviously on.
Do also note that his head sculpt is gorgeous…unlike Starscream’s weirdo bug-face for this mold. >;D
Transformers G1 (Universe) : Cyclonus (& Nightstick)
I’m not sure if I like having an off-color background or not. I probably should take another shot of him to match the other photos…? I bounced the flash into neon green off-screen to his right to make him look more metallic and contrast a bit better.
Transformers Beast Wars : Transmetal Tarantulas
Why does he look exactly like something I would design…? Like…exactly, in every way?
Why everyone should get a Shockwave:
(1) It’s Shockwave.
(2) He actually is recognizable in movie format…unlike the entire rest of the Cybertronian cast. Appropriate features and coloration !
(3) He barely ever gets any toys.
(4) See item #1 and multiply exponentially.
I don’t really care if this movie ends up being horrible, too. This all truly doesn’t matter, because nothing shall change the fact that I got a wonderful Shockwave out of the whole deal.
Starscream answers the phone…
Even if Shockwave won’t.
…. So on the way to Arizona a while ago, we stopped in an (unexpectedly really nice!) Rt. 66 motel…and there was…this phone. It didn’t work, of course, and was in the room just as some vintage decoration.
Also, the handset on this thing was really heavy, and could easily have been used to knock someone unconscious. (People must have been generally stronger to make phone calls back in the day.) This took quite a bit of careful balancing so as not to squash little Screams.
Transformers Animated : Starscream + Skywarp
I’m sure it’s not supposed to be this cute…
Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen : Ravage
The only good thing about that terrible movie (besides maybe Megatron hassling Starscream) was how flippin awesome Ravage was.
I love this toy. Even if he doesn’t transform into anything intelligible.
